We moved into our house two and a half years ago. When we moved in, it was dirty and completely unkempt. The carpets were stained with mystery stains and the walls were covered in a layer of grime. It was gross! But, being the HGTV aficionado that I was, I decided that I could make it beautiful. We moved in and immediately made it livable by replacing the flooring and repainting everything. However, decorating had to be done in small increments. One month I would do one room and the next, another room, etc.
Well, I finally have the master bedroom where I like it and I am super excited to share it with all of you. Everything will be linked in case anyone is curious. I did the whole room on a tight budget and got lucky with some amazing finds along the way.
Here is the final product!
I bought some plants at Lowes and sat them on the wood dresser for a more natural feel. The dresser is actually a DIY modeled after a dresser from West Elm. You can check ou the blog post where I made that here. The clothing rack is holding my fall and winter capsule wardrobe.

I couldn’t make up my mind on where to put all of the pillows, so I kept switching them around haha. The small table is a hand-me-down antique and on top of it I have my favorite essential oil diffuser. If you are interested in hearing more bout which oils I use and whatnot, you can read about it here.

We actually made the headboard ourselves and stained it with the same stain that we used on the dresser. I chose white end tables from Ikea because I felt that the white was a nice contrast against the wood. I will be doing an in depth post on how we made the headboard soon.
