CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES IN ORLANDO: FEATURING ROSEN HOTELS

Last week, I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a bus tour of the Christmas and holiday festivities that Rosen Hotels has going on this year. We visited 7 of the Rosen properties, each with a unique and beautiful holiday surprise. If you are planning a trip to Orlando this month or live here and want to get out and attend some fun holiday events then keep reading!

FIRST STOP: CLARION INN LAKE BUENA VISTA

Bella Vista, a Rosen Venue

8442 Palm Parkway, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32836

This is one of their newer venues, located in the Clarion Inn. They had Holiday cocktails called Santa-Claus-Mopolitans, a hot cocoa bar, tons of delicious food, and beautiful decor done by a local designer. This venue would be absolutely gorgeous for a holiday party or even a wedding! The patio has really nice seating and the location was fantastic, being only minutes from Disney Springs.

STOP #2: SHOGUN RESTAURANT AT ROSEN INN UNIVERSAL

6237 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

I am a HUGE fan of teppanyaki restaurants and I had actually been to this one once before. It has the classic hibachi grills and chefs that put on a performance for the diners. We sampled the amazing food and got an up close look at the sushi bar. Their lounge was a great place to hang out and drink cocktails. I highly recommend it!

 STOP #3: ROSEN INN INTERNATIONAL

7600 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

The Rosen Inn International was the first Rosen hotel in Orlando. We were greeted by beautiful Christmas trees and lights and then escorted to the courtyard area for drinks and a view of the beautiful Rosen Tree. The resort manager told us the story of the tree, dating back to the opening of the hotel. Mr. Rosen was inspired by the lights laced across a similar tree and decided to adopt the concept his hotel. He had the tree wrapped in lights and created an iconic tradition for his resorts for years to come. Now, you can see Rosen Trees at each of his hotel properties throughout Orlando.

STOP #4: ROSEN INN POINTE ORLANDO

9000 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

If you are looking for some great family-friendly activities this Christmas then this is a great option! They had a huge schedule of fun activities that will be taking place at their resort. Fun fact: the only time I had ever been to this hotel was once when our car broke down and we had to wait for a tow truck. They were so accommodating then but it was especially great to get to see the hotel during the holidays (with a fully functional car). We were given adorable Elf On The Shelf cookies and some amazing lemonade and now I have a new great memory of the hotel.

STOP #5: ROSEN PLAZA

9700 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

I was so blown away by Poolside lounge. The ambiance was amazing and so much fun. They had a live singer, delicious appetizers, signature cocktails, and ice sculptures! This was especially interesting for me, as an artist. They had these tools like sanders and they were carving these elaborate ice sculptures right in front of us! I told my hubby that that would be my next art venture haha. Be sure to go by and check out the Iced Out event on December 15th.

STOP #6: ROSEN CENTRE

9840 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Harry’s Poolside Bar and Grille has some amazing food! From their festive cinnamon margaritas to their empanadas, this stop is a must for any foodies out there!

FINAL STOP: ROSEN SHINGLE CREEK

9939 Universal Blvd., Orlando, FL 32819

This has been one of my favorite higher-end hotels in orlando for years. We have visited for the incredible pool and the relaxing spa and enjoyed several of their fantastic restaurants. Their pizza is a Rosen original that is only served on the Rosen properties and it is incredible. The Shingle Creek also has a Starbucks inside of it and you all know how much I appreciate that.

During the holidays, the Shingle Creek hosts over 20 local charities in putting up their own unique themed Christmas trees. The lobby gets filled with all kinds of fun decorations that benefit the charities. It is truly unique and definitely will make you feel like it is Christmas time.
