Galentine's Day Movie Night

 THE MOVIE ROOM

Last year my friend and fellow blogger, Tian, and I had a Galentine’s Day tea party. This year we decided to amp it up a little and host a Galentine’s Day Movie Night with some friends. We purchased a bunch of decorations from Amazon and Target and completely girl-afied her theater room.

The adorable balloon heart wall decoration was one of my favorite parts of the decor, however, it proved to be very difficult to put together. So, if you decide to try it for yourself, have lots of strong tape on hand!

Galentine's Day Movie Night

Tian had this amazing theater sofa with cup holders and charging cables. We just threw on all of the pink and cream pillows and blankets and it looked awesome! We were able to fit about six of us on there and then had pillows on the floor for everyone else.

The bar cart has come in handy for so many parties and it is surprisingly portable. We sat out all of the popcorn goody bags on the bottom and passed them out once everyone was seated for the movie. We stuffed the bags full of candy, kettle corn, and champagne gummy bears. Then we kept the rose on top along with the adorable LOVE sign from Michaels.

It may have come out all the way back in 2010 but this movie never gets old. It was so well done and is always such great laugh. The girls really enjoyed it.

We even rolled out the red carpet for the night. It looked so cute running down the hallway leading to the theater room. I got the chalk board off of Etsy and hand wrote the “WELCOME TO GALENTINE’S DAY MOVIE NIGHT” with a chalk marker.

 THE FOOD & TABLE DECOR

The food is always one of my favorite parts but also one of the most tricky. We chose things that fit the theme as well as tasted good. Tian’s mom made an amazing limeade and the sparkling water complimented the pizza really well. We laid everything out and created a backdrop with the balloons.

The rose gold detailing on the cups and the plates really made everything come together with the food. We had a local baker do the gorgeous cookie cake for us and it came out so good! She even added fresh flowers to the top and sides of the cake and that just took it to the next level.

We got so lucky finding this sign at Target in rose gold. It had to be assembled but it came with tons of other letters so we can save it and make any sign we want in the future.

Overall, it was so much fun to put together and we had an amazing time. We have already started talking about what we will do next year . . .
