It can be a bit of an adjustment having to be at home 24/7. As we get used to our new quarantined lives, I thought I would share ten ideas to help keep you all busy and entertained. I have seen so many people post so many great ideas. These are just a few that I liked or came up with on my own. I also thought I would share some of the specific things I am personally watching/doing.
Netflix (virtual) Watch Party
Did you know that you can do watch parties through Netflix with multiple people? All you have to do is use the google chrome extension Netflix Watch Party. So set a date and time to do a watch party with your friends or family.
A few shows/movies that I have binged lately are:
- Sugar Rush – Baking competition show
- Love Is Blind
- Great Design Masters – British interior design competition show
- Next In Fashion – Fashion design competition show
- Glow Up – Makeup artistry competition show
- Gilmore Girls – Drama/Comedy series
- Leap Year – Rom Com
- Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist – (Hulu)
Organize Your House
This seems simple but it really is a good idea. I cleaned every inch of my home, including my baseboards. It feels so nice to have it all clean and tidy. Clean up that junk drawer that seems to collect everything or clean out all of the expired food from your pantry and organize it.
Play games (online or with your family)
Here are a few of my favorite board games …

Sell Clothes You Don’t Wear Anymore Online
Why not make a little extra money while you are at home? I like to use Poshmark to sell mine. You list them, sell them, and they email you a label. Just package it up and schedule a post office pickup or drop it in a post office mail box. Easy as that.
I will link my closet here for you all to check out too.
Do These Activities With Your Dog
Your dog is probably bored too. So here are a couple of fun games you can play with them to keep both of you occupied …
- Grab a muffin tin, some tennis balls or any kind of ball, put treats in some of the tin holes and then cover all of the holes with the balls. Then, watch your dog use their nose to find the holes with the treats in them!
- Work on basic training. Here is a youtube channel that I really like for training.
- Sprinkle some treats around your backyard and watch your dog do their own little scavenger hunt.
Online Yoga/Workout
Again, a simple one but I wanted to share some of my favorite workout studios that are offering online classes right now because of the pandemic.
Project 7 Yoga – all yoga classes are only $7
Pure Barre – a great barre workout!
Have a Staycation
I know that a lot of people had a vacation planned, myself included. We may not get to travel but we can still give ourselves a staycation. Set up a beach chair in your backyard or by your pool and grab a lemonade and a book. Some vitamin D will do wonders right now. Maybe challenge yourself to take a picture or Tik Tok that makes it look like you have traveled somewhere amazing and tropical even though you are in your own neighborhood.
Then, once you are done being outside, come back in and give yourself a pampering spa night. Here are some of my favorite products that you can order for yourself.
Go Camping In Your Backyard
This would be especially fun if you have kids. Grab your tent and sleeping bags and go camping in the comfort of your backyard. It will feel like you have gotten out of the house but the best part is, if you have to pee, you can go back inside and use one of the thousands of rolls of toilet paper you grabbed and grab a glass of wine from your fridge.
Redecorate a Room
So far, I have tackled the master closet and have repainted the bathroom. Next, I plan on finishing decorating my home office. I ordered everything through Wayfair, Ikea, and Amazon. I will have posts showing all of this progress up soon.
Make A Shutterfly Scrapbook
I have always meant to make these but forget. I used to take all of the photos from each year and collected a few favorites. I would then use those pictures to make a phonebook through Shutterfly. It was kind of like having a year book of our highlights. They make fun coffee table books too.
In case you are one of the people out there that are having a hard time with anxiety and fear right now, be sure to journal. Journaling can help get some of those fears out of your mind and will allow you to relax a little. Also, keeping a schedule can really help, especially for those who are used to having a tight schedule on a day to day basis.
I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. I will talk to you soon!
